I started with VDL as a ref, then took up playing when I moved to Brisbane.

Dealing with Team Argentina’s jammers and being told: don’t do anything until you have to.
Do you have a pre-bout routine?
Lots of food, sun salutations and then some laps listening to music.
Do you have a favourite song to get amped pre-bout?
Dance Remix of Wrecking Ball.
What was your favourite bout moment?
I just love playing! Every moment I’m on the track is my favourite.
How did you choose your derby name?
There a multiple origin stories: one of them is true.
What skate set-up do you have/Do you have any gear recommendations?
Gear is an investment, not a cost.
What is one piece of advice you would give a freshie?
Hit the gym. This game is for strong people.
Did you play sport before derby?
I played Bridge competitively.
Who are your derby heroes and why?
Fuzz (Team Australia, Uinta Madness). Unmatched skills, top derby brain, amazing on-track and off-track leadership.
How would you sum up your derby playing style in three words?
Slow. Strong. Together. (if we’re doing it right)
